Making a More Just, Sustainable, Equitable and Resilient World for All
The Center for Sustainable Communities is a provider of project and program management, research, engineering and technical assistance. Our mission is to help redevelop communities on an economic basis.
Ten Years of Action, 50 Years of Experience
For 10 years, the Center for Sustainable Communities has served as a BIPOC-led nonprofit driving change across energy, housing, transportation, and workforce development. What sets us apart is our depth of knowledge, as our leadership and staff bring more than 50 years of combined experience in environmental science, clean energy, and technical assistance to every project we take on across Georgia, Virginia, and the Southeast.
Who We Serve
We work with communities and organizations across Georgia, Virginia, and the Southeast to help them execute sustainability initiatives, including:
- Utilities
- Governments (cities, counties, regional associations, municipal and state governments, federal agencies)
- Business and corporate partners
- Academic institutions and K-12 schools
- Authorities, nonprofits, and specialized agencies
Our Approach
Community First
We believe change starts at the community level.
How We Work
By listening first, building strategic partnerships, securing funding, and empowering residents, we deliver solutions tailored to real local needs.
Collaboration
Those most affected by climate change understand its impact best, driving our hands-on approach.
