As part of Virtual IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium 2020 Technology, Industry, and Education Events, we are pleased to invite you to this co-organized session by the GRSS IDEA (Inspire, Develop, Empower, and Advance) committee and WISE-E (Women in Science, Engineering, and the Environment).

We will be taking a world tour of cutting edge remote sensing and geosciences research featuring the successful women scientists behind the work. You’ll discover where and how they work, hear about their experiences and passion in science and engineering, and learn from their journeys. The live event will feature a moderated Q&A panel.

Juliet Hall

Our moderator, Juliet Hall, is the principal of Juliet Hall INC, a leadership consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA. Dedicated to igniting a purpose-filled passion in others, Juliet helps leaders who are at a professional crossroads to pursue their own self-discovery, develop their natural talents, and maximize their leadership potential.

GRSS IDEA Committee

The GRSS IDEA Committee serves to Inspire, Develop, Empower, and Advance (IDEA) fields of interest in Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS). The committee celebrates, supports, and thrives on differences for the benefit of the community and plans activities across regions and chapters to advance engineers and scientists from diverse backgrounds.

Women in Science, Energy, and the Environment

The WISE-E is a program of The Center for Sustainable Communities (CSC). CSC Smart Academy Center of Excellence is a recognized leader in K-12 STEM education. The WISE-E program places an emphasis on the importance of women and girls recruitment and sustainability in these fields through specialty programming.
